Front-end Developer - Transport & Infrastructure - London - 65-85k

 

A fast-growing transport and infrastructure solutions startup is recruiting a highly talented and experienced Front-end Developer to join its award-winning team to help improve its web app.

 

This company operates internationally, harnessing tech to help sites solve complex transport and infrastructure problems. As a Front-end Developer, you will develop and improve the company’s existing web app. You’ll develop user interface components and implement them, using established React workflows. You will also work closely and collaboratively with the product manager, data engineers and scientists.

Key skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, React and its core principles

  • Knowledge of RESTful API

  • Experience of developing web applications as well as websites

  • Knowledge of common front-end development tools such as Webpack, Storybook, Git

  • Experience of using mapping platforms, preferably Mapbox or Leaflet

  • Experience of developing responsive web applications

  • Experience of UI Testing, performance optimisation and browser-based debugging

  • Experience of building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
