Software Engineer - React.js - Fintech - London - 65-75k

A leading fintech company is looking for an experienced React engineer that’s passionate about creating and designing a beautiful user experience for web applications.

This company is all about creating applications that help banks identify their financial crime risks. As a Software Engineer, you will help lay the foundations for their web application. Working closely with back-end engineers, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly. You’ll build and maintain the customer-facing applications and website. You’ll create new, intuitive and user friendly data visualisations. You’ll understand and apply best practices for security. You will also work with designers to create beautiful customer-facing apps that are fun to use.

This is a fast-paced, fluid role that will involve a steep learning curve. You’ll be comfortable with ambiguity; you’ll be comfortable designing systems and defining architecture; you’ll be self-assured in your ability to choose the most appropriate libraries and work independently; and you’ll be adept at troubleshooting in order to solve complex problems.

Key skills:

  • Comfortable with state management, and building data driven applications

  • Experience of Javascript and React

  • Experience of working with CSS

  • Passionate about simplifying complicated concepts into a beautiful user experience

  • Experience of working with financial crime products, B2B SaaS products or consumer-facing products

This is a great opportunity for a React engineer that’s looking to put their own stamp on a project and play an active part in shaping their role. If you’re a quick learner with a passion for creating beautiful apps that offer exceptional UX, then we’d like to hear from you.
